Any mushroom consumption should be considered toxic unless a specialist can accurately and quickly identify the mushroom eaten. There are thousands of mushroom species, while only a small amount are considered toxic they can cause severe symptoms or even death.

Signs and symptoms of toxicity: drooling, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, incoordination, depression, tremors, seizures, organ failure.

Toxic consumption: some mushroom toxins will affect animals very rapidly (15-30 minutes) while others may not produce symptoms for many hours (up to 24 hours)
