Scientific Name: Nerium oleander
The oleander is commonly used in many gardens and landscapes. This evergreen shrub or small tree is toxic to animals and ingestion can be fatal. It is important to keep unsupervised pets away from areas in which oleanders are planted.
Signs and symptoms of toxicity: vomiting, cardiac arrhythmia, and low blood sugar
Toxic consumption: The minimum threshold for toxicity is not known and suspected consumption should be reported immediately.
